Virtual Access on a shoestring FREE Webinar

by SMAC

Scott Artley, MRAC’s Accessibility Program Director, has adapted the “Access on a Shoestring” workshop to zoom. This is a great workshop for groups that have a limited budget, but want to be more accessible.

Online Workshop: (Virtual) Access on a Shoestring
Thursday, May 28 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

No cost to participate

Welcoming people with disabilities doesn’t have to break the bank! We’ll explore your legal responsibility to provide equal access, and share some free, cheap, and easy “culture of access” strategies that advocates at any level of an organization can implement right away without a hefty price tag.

In this online version of the Access on A Shoestring workshop, we’ll focus on strategies for ensuring your virtual activities are accessible to people with disabilities. Special guest Julie Guidry (Upstream Arts) will share a framework for accessibility, and how her organization is reimagining its activities virtually. Participants are invited to share the challenges of, and solutions for, digital inclusion. What will we carry forward when we return to “normal”?

Presented by Scott Artley (Accessibility Program Director, MRAC) and Julie Guidry (Executive Director, Upstream Arts).
