I spent years performing in various local and regional bands (keyboards and vocals) and recently found a very satisfying niche as a solo artist in a "cradle to grave" format. That is to say, I compose original songs and record them in my home studio performing all of the instruments - keyboards, bass, and guitar - and lead vocal parts, then produce and publish a Read More finished work. Since I lack the coordination for drumming I instead program digital drums, and as not-quite-a-tenor I enlist the help of talented vocalists for backing vocals. This process worked exceptionally well during the Covid-19 time. While this approach is intensely iterative and challenging it is also very artistically rewarding. In choosing an “artist name” I went with “bc” – a nickname I have carried since high school. Last year I changed to “the bc” in an attempt to differentiate as there are literally hundreds of artists using “bc”.
