RFP for Public Art at Oliver Kelley Farm

oliverkellyfarmThe Minnesota State Arts Board, on behalf of the Minnesota Historical Society, requests proposals from professional public artists or artist-led teams for permanent, site-specific public artwork at the Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River, Minnesota.

Designated a National Historic Landmark on July 19, 1964, Oliver Kelley Farm is among the earliest of the state’s 25 historic landmarks. Today the site is a working farm visited by nearly 30,000 guests each year that tells the story of Minnesota’s farming, food, and agriculture industry. An expansion to the visitor center, and revitalization of the site is currently underway, which will provide classrooms, a community room, a teaching kitchen, and modern exhibit areas. A grand opening of the new visitor center and support buildings is planned for spring 2017.

Eligibility: Minnesota residents, at least 18 years old
Budget: $49,500, all-inclusive
