Twin Cities Pride desires to use the visibility and platform they have as an LGBTQ+ organization to Elevate the work and voice of local (Minnesota based) LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artist and culture bearers and Amplify their exposure in the community. Twin Cities Pride seeks a mutually beneficial partnership with Artist and Culture bearers to represent their own work and represent TC Pride to community and youth showing what is possible when living as your true self and following the passion and artistic expression deep within all of us.
In 2023, the Twin Cities Pride Festival in Loring Park & Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is estimated to bring in roughly 400,000 to 500,000 attendees. They have approximately 450 merchandise and information vendors and exhibitors and anticipate 60 food booths.
They have several opportunities for artist and those in the arts community:
2023 Twin Cities Pride Artist in Residence with Twin Cities Pride from May 2023 – April 2024.

- Benefits include, Booth space at the pride festival, exhibit space in the Mall of America and numerous coffee shops and breweries through-out the year, opportunity to expand many others outlined in the attached materials
- invited to design and fabricate an ephemeral public artwork to be used as a photo backdrop in Loring Park

Volunteer for Art Activations in Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens leading up to and during the Pride Festival June 23-25th, 2023

- Art Activation Volunteer Application here.
- They are planning several large-scale art activations including Candy Chang’s Before I Die, I Am…., Indigenous Dance/Pow wow and interpretation near the OKCIYAPI sculpture by Angela Two Stars. Volunteers are needed to lead, plan, fabricate and help activate these works.
- Artist can optionally submit a proposal for an Art Activations for a one-day only ephemeral public artwork/activation for the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on June 24th during the Pride Festival. apply here.
