SMAC Grant recipient featured in two West Central Tribune articles

In 2018 Erica Dischino of Willmar was awarded $2,500 through an Individual Artist grant from SMAC to travel to Kenya with Somali refugee Hamdi Kosar and visually document her voyage back. The next deadline for SMAC Individual Artist grants is January 8th, 2020 with a grantwriting webinar on November 26, 2019, click here for more information or to register.

Rural Refugee Project presents “From Willmar to Kenya”, 6:30 pm, October 22nd at the Willmar Public Library. Willmar residents Hamdi Kosar, Erica Dischino and Jessica Rohloff speak about their journey to the Dagahaley Refugee Camp in Kenya and about the image making process.
