4:00pm “Portfolio Kit” from THE WORK OF ART TOOLKIT
Led by Springboard for the Arts
Your portfolio is the core of your promotional materials and professional calling card. Focus on the essential elements:
- Sharpen your artist statement
- Tailor your artistic resume
- Curate and format your work samples
Springboard’s Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists is a professional development curriculum designed to teach business skills to artists in all disciplines — visual, performing and literary arts. Springboard’s Work of Art series has been taught at arts organizations, libraries and colleges in over 80 communities in the Upper Midwest.
**THROUGHOUT the Artist Gathering:
In order to assist with getting your portfolio in shape, SMAC will have a photographer onsite to capture images of your artwork.
YUP… that’s right. For FREE! Bring up to 3 pieces of your art to be photographed. ((SMAC cannot guarantee that all artwork will be captured.)) Digital files of the photos will be sent to you afterwards for use as work samples for grants or gallery inquiries.
