The River’ music festival will be held during the late afternoon and evening of Friday July 7 (5:30 pm-11 pm) and Saturday July 8 (5:30 pm-11 pm), 2017 at Ashley Park along the Des Moines River in Jackson. Two stages allow for continuous activity as well as diversity in musical and artistic styles. Local and regional artisans will set up booths in the park grounds during the festival. This is a free, multigenerational event promoting songwriters and creativity in SW Minnesota.
Other details about the event: Food and Art vendors will set up at Ashley park on July 6th, and be on site for the duration of the festival on July 7-8, 2017. In conjunction with Rhythm of the River, the Holiday Fest committee holds a community picnic on the Festival grounds on Friday night. A local baseball team will be holding a fundraiser at Ashley Park on July 7th, during the festival in 2017. Childrens activities are planned throughout the weekend, and include art projects, a Children’s music stage, and book readings. Families are encouraged to attend the free festival together.
