“The Sacred Places of Kandiyohi County”

Diversity has always been one of the distinguishing features of religious life in North America, and the diversity of the various places of worship in Kandiyohi County document the diversity of religious life in a typical county in west central Minnesota. The photographs of the Sacred Places project provide the means to experience the variety of religious expression and architecture from across the county.

As the photographer for this project it has provided me with the unique opportunity
to visit and experience all the sacred places in the county. Along the way I have been blessed to meet many wonderful people from many diverse faiths from all across the county. Many of whom have gone considerably out of their way and shown me great kindness in welcoming me into their spiritual homes to ensure the success of this project.

It is my hope that by viewing the resulting photographs a greater understanding and appreciation is gained for the diversity that defines us.
