WHAT: 
Intermedia Arts’ Youth Leadership Council is seeking video submissions from young filmmakers who identify as LGBTQIA+ for the Up and Out: Upper-Midwest Youth Queer Film Festival – Minnesota’s first film festival exclusively focused on LGBTQIA+ youth!

 

WHO:
Young Filmmakers ages 12-22 who identify as LGBTQIA+

 

WHY:
The Up and Out festival seeks to provide:

• An inclusive and empowering platform to express yourself and showcase your work
• Panels and workshops with professionals from the LGBTQIA+ and filmmaking communities
• Networking – meet other young filmmakers
• Community building – create space where you can share stories and experiences that are absent in the mainstream
• Intersectionality – address issues and celebrate triumphs relevant to youth, queer, and artist identities
• Learning resources – learn how to effectively use your art to create community change
• Support – receive mentorship, skills, and recognition for your work
