The Arts Board has launched searches for key grant program positions.

Grant making is the Arts Board’s primary activity. These positions help creative individuals and organizations access resources for arts programming that will enrich the lives of Minnesota residents and strengthen Minnesota communities.

  • Grant programs assistant
    Arts Board grant program assistants play a key role in processing grant applications, amendments, and final reports. Successful candidates for this position will have strong customer service skills so they can provide guidance to applicants and grantees with clarity and tact. They will have strong attention for details and be able to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Grant program assistants must have word processing and data entry/data management skills.

    Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

  • Grant program officer
    Grant program officers provide general oversight for Arts Board grant programs. Successful candidates for this position will have at least five years’ experience working in the arts. They will have the ability to carefully review and evaluate grant applications, budgets, grant contract amendment requests, and final reports. They will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and time management skills. They will have group facilitation experience. Program officers must be able to meet deadlines, solve problems, and provide guidance to applicants and grantees that is consistent with program requirements. Grant program officers play a vital role―they help potential applicants access public resources for arts activities and they help ensure accountability in grants awarded
