Hutchinson Center for the Arts Seeks Executive Director

Do you have a passion for the arts and helping grow the arts community in Hutchinson? The Hutchinson Center for the Arts is now hiring for the Full-Time Executive Director position. This position will coordinate shared resources and assist art groups and partner organizations for stronger community support, heightened public awareness and participation.

The Executive Director will work cooperatively with area art groups to build participation and grow audiences:

  • Foster increased opportunities for art experiences
  • Coordinate arts activities
  • Share resources and talents

 

This position will provide business fundamentals:

  • Shared facilities for small events, gatherings, meetings and storage space
  • Business systems for managing organization information, records and communications
  • Human resources and specialized skills
  • Access to more funds through sharing resources and grants
  • Education on grant writing and grant opportunities

 

Responsibilities of Executive Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Directing programs and fund-generating activities
  • Coordinate operations, staff, volunteers and committees
  • Effectively network/negotiate with and influence resources and constituents

 

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with business management including market/promotion, financial performance, leadership, and delivering valued services
  • Working knowledge of business systems, computers and related software
  • Characterized as trustworthy, influential, and resourceful
  • Possesses effective problem solving, delegation and motivational skills
