Did you know there is a 4-H Young Writers Club?

Posted by

Registration is NOW!

This year, Montevideo-based author, M E Fuller, has volunteered with Minnesota 4-H to serve as a mentor to young writers in this program, now in its 3rd year. Spread the word to young writers to join us for NANOWRIMO! November is National Novel Writing Month.

You may think that 4-H is for rural kids with cows and pigs, but it’s so much more. 4-H is about youth development and training youth leaders, and it’s about writing, too! And it’s FREE to join.

4-H invites youth to take the NaNoWriMo challenge and write a novel in a month! Youth in grades 6+ will meet virtually in November to write together, share their work and connect with other writers around Minnesota. Youth will work independently and in small groups. There will be personal encouragement, weekly incentives, and prizes available.I have never written a novel before. Is this club for me?If you have a passion for writing, then yes! While we will be challenging all youth to finish their novel during our club experience in November, the ultimate goal is to connect youth and inspire them to go further in their writing skills. No matter how much you are able to write, our goal is that all youth will feel a sense of belonging and accomplishment and learn something new.
