Intermedia Arts’ Catalyst Series co-presents new work in the performing and visual arts, as well as multimedia and film presentations, in partnership with you: artists, groups and organizations in our community focused on art, equity, dialogue, and social change.
The 2016-2017 Series welcomes proposals for presentations of performances, screenings, exhibitions, events and projects within and across the artistic disciplines of performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, multimedia and interdisciplinary arts, and film; especially those that increase visibility and awareness of under-represented viewpoints or communities, spark dialogue and inspire social change.
A selection panel consisting of past Catalyst Series artists, Intermedia Arts’ Catalyst curator, program director, and staff review applications and make recommendations based on feasibility, capacity, and season fit. Intermedia Arts is currently seeking proposals for the following timeframes:
Visual Arts Exhibitions
September 2016-August 2017
Staff will review proposals and, in cases where proposals are a good fit for Intermedia Arts’ mission and community, staff may follow up to learn more about the project.
Proposals for the Catalyst Series are due by 5pm Friday, February 12, 2016.
Applicants will receive a response by Friday, March 25, 2016.
Final decisions will be made in June 2016.
The Catalyst Series is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund, and a grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation Minnesota.
