This call is open to all artists living or working in South Dakota or a neighboring state (Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota)
The Brookings Public Arts Commission, in partnership with the City of Brookings, SD, seeks an artist to design, fabricate and install 2D artwork in a public area of the shared use City/County building. The selected artist will be asked to create a permanent artwork that honors the history, cultures, and current experience of Brookings, SD residents. This call is open to all artists living or working in South Dakota or a neighboring state (Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota).
The selected artist will recieve a commission of $10,000 (that shall include all South Dakota State Sales/Use Tax), to design, fabricate, and install the artwork. The $10,000 budget also shall include any associated travel costs.
