Swede Hollow Park Art Fest: Artists in Action! requests proposals for temporary installation/sculpture from Minnesota Artists and Artist Teams, of all experience levels, to be displayed for one day only (Saturday, June 4, 10:00 am -5:00 pm), during the 2016 Art in the Hollow Festival, located in the wild and lovely Swede Hollow Park in St Paul. All media will be considered. Friends of Swede Hollow is honored to have Mary Johnson, Minnesota Sculptor, managing and judging the competition this year.

The goal of the Art in the Hollow Sculpture Competition & Exhibition is two-fold: to show the connection or perhaps conflict between art and nature and to draw people into more fully exploring and experiencing the unique setting and rich history that is Swede Hollow. It features installations that are in place only for the day of the Art in the Hollow Festival.

A People’s’ Choice prize of $100 plus three juried prizes of $300, $200, and $100, will be awarded on the day of the event!

Artists and Artist Teams are welcome to apply and any medium is acceptable. Artists are encouraged to explore Swede Hollow in creating their site-specific installation/sculptures.
