Thursday, June 3rd’s Rural Arts Recovery Network meet up, Amplifying Empathy with Holly Doll from Native Artists United – NAU, is postponed until further notice, out of respect to George Floyd and his family as they gather for his memorial service, and as our nation mourns and reflects on the systemic racism that lead to his murder.
If you registered, we encourage you to use the time you had set aside on Thursday to reflect on your own anti-racism efforts, and, if you have the means, to donate to an organization leading neighborhood recovery efforts in Minneapolis and St Paul. Here are some helpful resources to help you do so:

Knowing that there is much work to do and that we can’t delay moving equity and justice forward, no matter where we live, we’d also like to invite you to an online meet up on Friday, June 5th about rural activism, anti-racism, and rural-urban solidarity. We’re teaming up with the Department of Public Transformation to host a conversation for rural artists and arts leaders who are navigating their own roles and responsibilities in supporting and organizing around racial equity and justice in their rural communities to connect and exchange support and ideas.
