Organizations that would like to apply for a Minnesota State Arts Board Creative Support for Organizations grant to support a project or activities that will take place between December 2022 and November 2023 have two weeks to submit a Creative Support for Organizations application. There will be a second Creative Support for Organizations application deadline on September 9, 2022, for projects or activities that will take place between May 2023 and April 2024.
Creative Support for Organizations grants help organizations deliver arts programming and meaningfully engage their communities. While grants are flexible, applicants will need to able to align their activities with one of the following three program outcomes:
- Minnesotans develop knowledge, skills, or understanding of the arts (arts education)
- Minnesotans create, learn, or experience the diverse cultural arts traditions in our state (arts and cultural heritage)
- Minnesotans engage in meaningful and relevant arts experiences (arts and arts access)
This is a statewide program. Potential applicants are encouraged to carefully read the eligibility requirements before beginning an application. Eligibility and other program information is available here: http://www.arts.state.mn.us/grants/cso.htm
Applications must be submitted online, and received by the Arts Board,
before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022.
An organization may submit an application by the first deadline or the second deadline, but not both. The chances of being funded are the same for both deadlines.
To request accommodation, please contact Jenea.Rewertz-Targui@arts.state.mn.us, (651) 539-2657, or Minnesota Relay 711.
The Minnesota State Arts Board is a state agency that stimulates and encourages the creation, performance, and appreciation of the arts in the state. It works to ensure that all Minnesotans can participate in and benefit from the arts.
