Minnesota Citizens for the Arts (MCA) is traveling across the state and wants to meet up with you! MCA is stopping in communities across Minnesota to hear from artists, arts organizations, community leaders, businesses, residents, and families about how Legacy Arts Funding has helped the arts flourish. How has this funding helped with the quality of living in your community? How does it impact your downtown? Who benefits when your organization succeeds?

Please join in the casual conversation with MCA Executive Director Sarah Fossen, MN State Arts Board Executive Director Sue Gens, and our MCA Lobbyists from Winthrop & Weinstine. Local legislators will also be invited to join us as well. Register for Madison Area Meet-Up!

Looking Forward: Save the Date!

Once again, this year Minnesota Citizens for the Arts will hold Arts Action Week with opportunities to meet with your legislators in-person or via zoom during Arts Action week, taking place from March 4th through the 8th, 2024. On March 5th, they will organize an in-person rally at the capitol in St. Paul. SMAC will continue to post more details and opportunities surrounding this important week as we get them, but for now, mark your calendars to join SMAC Staff & Board on March 5th at the Capitol raising awareness of the impact of arts funding in our rural communities.
