McKnight Foundation Open Call for Education Funding

by SMAC

The McKnight Foundation’s Education program is accepting funding inquiries from December 15, 2018 through January 5, 2019. Learn more and apply here. Please consider this opportunity and share it with your networks.

The Education program promotes student success by engaging families and supporting educators. We fund efforts to increase the number of racially, linguistically, and culturally diverse educators who are well-prepared to engage students, and who work in positive school climates with strong strategies for recruiting and retaining these diverse, effective educators.

McKnight also believes that families and communities are a powerful force for educational equity, and that their voices should influence education policy practice. They fund family and community organizing, knowledge building, and capacity building efforts that engage families and communities as advocates for educational equity.

For questions about the initial inquiry, contact Erin Imon Gavin at egavin@mcknight.org. Nonprofit organizations can submit inquiries for funding via McKnight’s online portal from December 15, 2018 through January 5, 2019. Organizations invited to submit full proposals will hear from McKnight staff by the end of January, and proposals will be due to the Foundation on February 20, 2019.
