Artist Bio

My name is Kirsten Brichler, and I hold two degrees in entomology. Currently, I serve as an agronomy professor and greenhouse manager. With a lifelong passion for both nature and the arts, I have sought to merge these interests through my creative work. This project aims to highlight the diverse wildlife of Minnesota—both familiar and lesser-known—using the medium of needle felting with wool. By combining my scientific background with my artistic expression, I strive to capture the intricate beauty of the natural world in a tangible, textured form.
