John Munson Artist Statement

I really like landscapes. I paint for my own enjoyment and love sharing the finished product. Each painting starts with my mood. My art making process includes making each canvas from scratch. First off, I’d like to thank God for opening up the door to create work I enjoy. I love painting and creating music, and at the moment I am able to fulfill my passion for these. I’ve been painting and making music for over 24 years, and took a break when my wife and I had two children. But once God opened up the door for these opportunities, I have finally gotten to the point in my creative process that I’ve always wanted to achieve. My paintings, to me, are the most amazing art in the world! The reason I love painting and making music. I have a certain type of style I like and the same way I can satisfy my artistic desires by producing the work I like. Any support on the painting or music end is always appreciated because at the moment anything I earn from sales goes directly to producing more. I love creating and I hope God allows me to continue to paint and make music.
