Arrowhead Regional Arts Council seeks Grants Manager

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council is currently seeking a Grants Manager. Applications due August 30, 2018.

 

About ARAC:

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council (ARAC) serves individual artists, nonprofit arts organizations, informal arts groups, community education organizations, and units of government that reside in the seven county Arrowhead Region in northeastern Minnesota. ARAC is one of eleven regional arts councils in Minnesota who award grants to individual artists and nonprofit arts organizations. Our mission is to facilitate and encourage local arts development, and this mission statement grows from a conviction that the arts improve the quality of life in the region.

 

Job Type: Full Time

 

Salary: $39,000-$44,000 annually depending on experience.

 

Primary Duties:

Innovative and outgoing person needed to oversee the grant programs for the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council. The arts council operates grant programs and provides services for artists in the seven-county area of Northeastern Minnesota, an area of more than 18,000 square miles with rural, urban, wilderness, and industrial communities. The job requires significant outreach (expect to be on the road almost every week) plus detailed work helping artists and arts organizations apply. The grants manager also coordinates community review panels that make decisions about applications and grant awards. A commitment to inclusion and equity is a must. You should be flexible and enjoy working as a part of a team. Duties include working with current grant programs, evaluating those programs, planning changes in existing programs, and creating new programs.

 

Experience: B.A. degree and some experience working with artists and grant programs.

Office Hours at ARAC!

 

We will be hosting virtual and in-person office hours on Wednesday, August 15th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the ARAC office! The office hours will focus on providing any help with the Artist Access grant. Office hours provide you with a chance to get your questions answered and help you finish up the application process. You may call us with your questions or stop in and ask us in person, no registration is required! We have a computer on-site to help you with your applications as well.

Deadline for the Artist Access Grant is Friday, August 17 at 4:30 pm

 

The Artist Access grant provides up to $1,000 to artists who have never received a grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council. The funding is designed to allow you to carry-out a well-planned project that will allow you to grow as an artist or to take advantage of an impending opportunity.
