Summer Studio: Youth Art Courses

Through hands-on experiences led by professional art instructors young artists learn the process of creating, collaboration, and problem solving. And of course they have a lot of fun!

JULY CLASSES

PRINT MAKING and PAPER MAKING | JULY 9, 10, & 11| 10:30 – Noon| ages 10 and older

Explore a variety of printmaking techniques including: reductive printmaking, image transfers and some URBAN printmaking (capturing prints from urban/street textures.) Participants will also spend time making their own paper! This class is designed for kids who have some art experience, love detail, and enjoy focusing longer attention on projects and ideas. $45 not yet members/ $35 members Maximum 12 printmakers

 

ART MACHINES | JULY 16 & 17 | 10:30 – Noon | Ages 7 and older

Spend 2 days inventing and building your own machine that can paint and draw! Gears, gizmos, and lots of found objects will be transformed into machines that splatter and splash paint. This class is ideal for kids who like to invent, build, and tinker. Led by Ridgewater College Art Instructor Andrew Nordin. $40 not yet members/ $30 members  Maximum 10 designers

 

MOVIE MAKING | July 16, 17 & 18 | 1:30 – 3:30 | ages 8 and older

Working together in teams/small groups to create a movie using green screen technology and ipads. Students will develop a theme and make props and sets to create their own magical worlds. Led by Ridgewater College Art Instructor Andrew Nordin. $50 not yet members/ $40 members

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued to all participants if the Art Center must cancel a class due to low enrollment.

To cancel a registration, please contact the Art Center at least one week prior to the class. You will be issued a full refund.

If you cancel a registration less than a week prior to the class, you are entitled to a full credit that can be applied toward any Art Center class. Please note that this has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for any other Art Center merchandise or services.
