Arts in the Schools Grants
Provides public schools with up to $4,000 for projects such as artist residencies, arts field trips, juried student art exhibits, etc. No cash match required.

SMAC Arts in the Schools grant workshop webinar: July 18, 2023 noon to 1:00 pm.
- Request staff draft review at least one week before deadline
- 1st of each month, August 2023 – May 2024, or until funds are expended
- Panel Scores: due by the 3rd Monday of the month
- Board Action: 4th Tuesday of the month
- Earliest Project Start Date: the first day of the following month
Example: An application submitted August 20 would be in time for the September 1 deadline, which would have an earliest project start date of October 1.
How to Apply
Applicants may fill out and submit their application in several ways:
- through our online grant system
- in a Word document (see materials below), submitted by email to info@swmnarts.org, along with required attachments
- on paper with required attachments, submitted by mail (PO Box 55, Marshall, MN 56258) or contact us to arrange drop-off.
