Minnesota State Arts Board FY 2018 Arts Tour Minnesota grant application deadline July 21, 2017

The FY 2018 Arts Tour Minnesota grant program is now open for application. The Overview and Application Instructions for this program are available on the Arts Board Web site.

Arts Tour Minnesota is a program designed to provide Minnesotans greater access to high quality arts activities regardless of geographic location. Grants may be used to support Minnesota presenters hosting professional tours by Minnesota and nonMinnesota artists, or to support Minnesota artists and arts organizations touring existing artworks to Minnesota communities that are outside of their home region. The program is open to tours featuring visual, literary, and performing arts.

The deadline to submit applications for the FY 2018 Minnesota grant program is Friday, July 21, 2017. Please note that applications must be submitted before 4:30 p.m. on the day of the deadline.

Proposed projects must take place between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019.

The Arts Board uses WebGrants, an online grants management system, for all applications. Registration is required of all applicants before beginning an application to any Arts Board program. It is only necessary to register once. To register, visit the Arts Board Web site. Scroll down the home page to WebGrants instructions and registration information.

First time applicants to this program are strongly encouraged to call program officer Rina Rossi prior to beginning an application, after first reviewing the Program Overview and Application Instructions. She can be reached at

Arts Tour Minnesota Webinar

The Minnesota State Arts Board is offering a free one-hour Webinar to help applicants prepare to apply for the Arts Tour Minnesota grant program. This session will be particularly helpful for first-time applicants.

Program officer Rina Rossi will walk through the program overview and instructions, and provide background information about what the review panel will look for in an application. At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity to submit questions online.

The session is offered as a conference call with an option to view a PowerPoint presentation online. The presenter will be located in an office that cannot accommodate visitors, so please note that it isn’t possible to attend the session in person.

To make the session more useful to you, we suggest that you read the overview and application instructions in advance and print out a copy for your reference. This document can be found on the Arts Tour Minnesota program page.
