Text reads: Granite Falls City Artist-In-Residence, Dept of Public Transformation & City of Granite Falls. Welcome! Dani Prados. With support from Blandin Foundation, Southwest Minnesota Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts and the MN Arts & Cultural Heritage Legacy Amendment. (Each has their own logo pictured). Photo of the Artist in black and white. Abstract circles and lines in various colors. The City of Granite Falls and the Department of Public Transformation have partnered to launch the Granite Falls City Artist in Residence (CAIR) program fostering cultural work that sits at the intersection of civic, social, and place-based practice in a rural setting. After distributing a national Call for Artists and working with a selection committee of local City officials, business owners, artists and residents, Dani Prados (currently based in Taos, NM) has been selected as the first Granite Falls City Artist in Residence!

Dani will begin her work onsite with the City of Granite Falls in October, 2020 and will remain living and working in and with the community for one year. Her role will be to design and implement arts and cultural strategies that increase civic participation and community engagement in City policy-making, planning and public processes. We are thrilled to welcome Dani to our region this fall! Learn more about Dani Prado HERE and the CAIR Program HERE.
