giveMN seeks board members

A note from the GiveMN Board of Directors

Dear friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of GiveMN, we are delighted to invite you to submit nominations for up to three open board positions we’re working to fill for terms beginning in July 2020.

While we’ve always recruited board members from the community, this year marks the first time we are broadly inviting nominations from our community of donors and leaders at nonprofits and schools. It’s part of our ongoing effort to continue building a deep connection to our communities, and opening this process to our stakeholders reflects our organizational values.

Our board of directors is made up of volunteers who help shape GiveMN’s mission of igniting generosity and growing giving. Through programs like RaiseMN, GiveMN.org, and Give to the Max Day, we believe in the power of individual philanthropy to power the important work of thousands of nonprofits and schools all across Minnesota.

Throughout the rest of February, we invite you to nominate leaders you believe could help us advance the work and shape the future of GiveMN. If you are interested in being considered yourself, we welcome self-nominations as well. Nominations are due on March 1, 2020, and our board’s governance committee will be reviewing all applicants as they work to bring new members onto the board this summer.

Thank you for being a part of our community of philanthropy, and we look forward to learning more about many of you through this nomination process.

Sincerely,
Mahtab Rezai, GiveMN Board Chair
John Larsen, GiveMN Governance Committee Chair
