The Scheduled Giving period for Give to the Max Day 2016 is underway! All gifts made using GiveMN.org through November 16 will be scheduled to process on November 17, making those donations eligible for all Give to the Max Day prizes!

Created as a launch party for GiveMN.org in 2009, Give to the Max Day has turned into Minnesota’s giving holiday. It is a special 24-hour period to highlight the work and worth of nonprofits and schools all across Minnesota, and a day for generous Minnesotans to give back what they can to the causes and organizations that mean the most to them. And as a bonus, GiveMN offers thousands of dollars in prizes to provide a little excitement, start some friendly competition, and help donors make their dollars go farther.

Give to the Max Day 2016 will be held from midnight to 11:59 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Simply visit GiveMN.org and search for the organizations that mean the most to you!

If you’re thinking of Southwest Minnesota Arts Council during your Give to the Max day generosity, that’s awesome! $25 will get you a new (or renewed) individual membership with us (you can still donate in smaller amounts, though). But we also want to remind you that we are here to support arts in our local communities and 18 county region, so we encourage you to give directly to the arts nonprofit organizations close to you and that you benefit from in your community. To quickly show your support for multiple causes, use the MultiGive tool. This allows you to make gifts to multiple organizations with a single checkout, as long as you already know what organizations you plan to give to.

We believe that any day is a great day to support the local nonprofits and schools strengthening our communities, but Give to the Max Day is a special day to celebrate thousands of nonprofits and schools across the state. Your Give to the Max Day donation will be eligible for random drawings to have extra money added to it, and will help your favorite cause compete for more prize money on our leaderboards.

Please show our communities that nonprofit arts organizations are important for enriching our communities and keeping art opportunities open for our future generations. We believe the arts are an important part of understanding and enriching life, and we hope you agree!

What are the prize incentives?

GiveMN Golden Ticket Prize Incentives

The GiveMN Golden Ticket prize incentives are a repeat for 2016! Each hour on Give to the Max Day, one Golden Ticket of $1,000 will be awarded through a random drawing of all donations transacted during the previous hour.

Additionally, two Super-Sized Golden Tickets of $10,000 each will be awarded. The first will be drawn randomly from all successfully-processed donations scheduled through GiveMN.org between 12:00am CST November 1, 2016 and 11:59pm CST on November 16, 2016. The second will be drawn randomly from all gifts successfully processed on November 17, 2016.

All Minnesota-based nonprofits and schools are eligible.

New for 2016—GiveMN has added a new group of prizes to celebrate generosity throughout Give to the Max Day! If you are listed as eligible for the Golden Ticket prize pool, you are eligible for these prizes as well.

Celebrating milestones
As your generosity pushes #GTMD16 toward a smashing success, we will be celebrating the moments we reach major milestones throughout the day! Follow along throughout the day; if your gift helps us reach one of our major milestones, we’ll celebrate by adding $1,000 to your gift!

Celebrating our state
As Minnesotans, we may be shy about reminding people exactly how many lakes are in our state, but GiveMN has compiled a few fun facts to celebrate The North Star State! And if you make a gift at just the right time, GiveMN will add an extra $500 to your donation!

Keeping the party going until midnight
Help us keep the momentum going long after the sun sets on Give to the Max Day with our Primetime Power Hours! From 8:00pm until 11:59pm CST, GiveMN will reward the organization with the most donations each of these four hours with an additional $1,000! Help us celebrate another holiday of giving and send #GTMD16 out with a bang!
