Dana Miller: A Color Journey, exhibit runs April 18-May 26
Reception with the artist on Saturday, April 29 from 2-4 pm at the Arts Center, 109 N 3rd St, Marshall.
Dana often finds subjects for her photography on the open roads of the Upper Midwest. “I have an affinity for the rural landscape, and I try to capture the essence of the many places that are disappearing from it.” Her camera goes where she goes, and she likes to travel, so the subjects of her photography aren’t limited to the back roads and byways of Minnesota. In her art, Dana often works in watercolor and ink to accentuate the emotive parts of a scene, the parts more likely seen in memory than in their discovery.
