Announcing a new regional program from the American Composers Forum: Composers and songwriters of all musical styles are invited to apply for In Common, a yearlong residency in Willmar, MN. The selected artist will share their music with the community, and take a leadership role in developing and leading a community songwriting project. Through the creation & performance of new, community-inspired music, diverse residents will gather to discover what they have in common. This opportunity pays $18,000, plus reimbursement for up to $2000 of travel expenses. The selected artist will be required to spend at least 36 days in the community during this yearlong collaboration, which will begin in summer 2018.
