Michele Skogrand of Montevideo will exhibit her mixed media collage artworks at the SMAHC gallery (new location) from May 10 - June 29.

She explains that women “have been portrayed as temptress and angel, mother and old spinster, goddess and an empty
vessel. While trying to understand my own femininity, I become fascinated by women’s studies and the wildly varying portrayals of women.”
The public is invited to visit the gallery exhibit at the new SMAHC art gallery location (114 North 3rd Street, Marshall). Join us to visit with the artist at a reception from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2012. Regular Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am-12 pm and 1-4:30 pm.
