Eva Margarét Exhibit
“This series of work is all based and inspired by the fantastical experience of having my first child. These works consist of both oil paintings and clay sculptures. Some ideas came from personal experiences combined with dreams that I’ve had. Others came from photos I took combined with concepts. The overall purpose was to convey pregnancy and motherhood; the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of that experience. I hope that people who view my work will have a positive reaction. I hope to leave people feeling refreshed, renewed and inspired. The same feeling that comes with listening to their favorite song. I do find it interesting that most of the works that were created are more about the spiritual aspects of my experience. But that doesn’t surprise
me because it is such a spiritual experience… all of life is.” ~ Eva Margaret
