Please join the Worthington Area Symphony Orchestra for its spring concert entitled GLORIA! on Tuesday, May 23rd at 7:30 at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center in Worthington.  Three major works written by prominent composers from the Romantic and Contemporary music eras will be featured.  Edward Elgar’s emotional Nimrod will capture the audience.  A 30-member Community Chorus along with soprano soloist, Dr. Darci Bultema will join the orchestra in performing one of Francis Poulenc’s most celebrated, exciting works – Gloria!   Felix Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony, famous for its reference to the familiar hymn, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”, will complete the concert.   Plan to join the Worthington Area Symphony Orchestra as we celebrate the final days of the Easter season with GLORIA!

The Worthington Area Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to sharing orchestral music with residents of Worthington, MN and surrounding communities. Founded in 2010, WASO is comprised of musicians from Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota. Our conductor, Dr. Christopher Stanichar, who hails from Sioux Falls, SD, always brings enthusiasm, knowledge, and humor to share with players and audience alike. Please join us in Worthington's Memorial Auditorium for an evening of music. Our programs are designed to appeal to an audience with a broad range of musical interests. All are welcome!
