*Windom: Prairie Arts Continuum presents "Mamma Mia"

Mamma Mia! is the story of Sophia, a young girl planning her wedding on the Greek island, where she grew up with her single mother, running a resort. Sophia doesn’t know who her father is, but after discovering her mother’s diary, she learns that she has 3 potential fathers and invites them to her wedding- unbeknownst to her mother. The story has a wide variety of characters, including her mother’s friends and former bandmates (Tanya and Rosie), the 3 potential fathers, Sophies fiance and bridesmaids, staff and friends at the resort, and many background characters. The story is notably framed with the familiar and upbeat music of the 70’s music of ABBA, providing an uplifting celebratory mood and a nostalgic familiarity for audience members of all ages and backgrounds.
