| Mark your calendars and register to join SMAC Staff & Board on March 4th at the Capitol to raise awareness of the impact of arts funding in our rural communities. SMAC can assist in reimbursing mileage for members of our region to attend the in-person rally on a first-come, first-serve basis according to our allotted budget. We can also assist in arranging carpooling. Please email info@swmnarts.org if you are interested in taking advantage of mileage reimbursement and/or carpooling opportunities!
Your participation can make all the difference. The 2025 legislative session is underway, and now is the time to take action for the arts. Arts Advocacy Day, on March 4th, is your opportunity to show just how many people care about the arts, and the more voices we have, the stronger our impact. It’s crucial we demonstrate to legislators how many communities rely on arts funding to thrive. Every community, from urban centers to rural towns, benefits from the arts, and it’s important that legislators hear directly from you how vital this funding is to your area.
