Event Details

SquidFest Community Art Festival is a free public event intended to cultivate community pride, connection, and access by offering residents a smorgasbord of opportunities to interact and cooperate through art, play, and education.

SquidFest 2023 events will include a 5k Fun Run and Kids Fun Run, arts and outdoor activities and workshops (including a squid dissection class) for children and families, free will donation “Stone Soup” to raise money for the local food shelf, educational and interactive booths hosted by local and regional businesses and non-profits, an ADA accessible art walk displaying art, poems, and stories created by community members, and a live music festival featuring three Minnesota-based bands representing reggae, jazz/soul, and Americana. SquidFest is proud to be a green festival, using only recyclable and compostable items and providing positive and playful education for the community on recycling and composting.
