*Spicer: 2025 Music in the Park

Spicer’s Music in the Park (MITP) is a harmonious celebration, uniting accomplished musicians and dancers with an enthusiastic audience over five Sunday afternoons in July and August and offering a diverse array of musical genres.

The Music in the Park Series provides five live concerts on Sundays in July and August. The concert dates are July 13, July 27, August 3, August 10, and August 17. All concerts will take place from 4 to 6 pm on a deck overlooking Green Lake in the Pirotta Park, located at downtown Spicer, MN.

July 13 – Ruckus in the Bearbrush Experience the enchanting sounds of Ruckus in the Bearbrush, a Minnesota-based musical group specializing in Irish music. Utilizing a variety of Celtic instruments, they create a professional show that seamlessly blends traditional roots, modern ideas and original compositions. Emma Nistler, Adrian Ranier, and Paul Imholte each play a variety or instruments including whistles, flutes, guitar, hammered dulcimer and fiddle. The addition of Irish dancers, Emaliah Danner and Abby Young, enhance the performance.

July 20 – Green Lake Bluegrass.

July 27: Elvis Tribute Artist Anthony Shore Enjoy the many genres that this band performs including rock & roll, rhythm & blues, gospel and country. Anthony has received numerous awards and enjoys getting to know people as he performs in a variety of settings along with his guitarist, Jack Mansk, and back-up vocalists Christina Case and Kaity Heart.

August 3- Mariachi Mexico Mariachi music! It’s a vibrant & iconic genre from Mexico known for its lively rhythms, soulful melodies & heartfelt lyrics. Daniel Garcia Cueto, Silvino Guzman, Miguel Juarez, Henry Garcia and Jason Vasquez have played in Mariachi bands for 25 years and have enjoyed sharing their joyful songs at weddings, state fairs, quinceaneras, Festival of Nations and many other venues. They combine their talents to create a unique sound featuring traditional instrumentation that includes guitar, violin, trumpet, Mexican bass and accordion.

August 10 – Custom Made: Embark on a Musical Memory Tour of the 50s, 60s, and 70s with Custom Made, a trio of talented local musicians. Steve Mahlum, Kris Nelson-Jensen, and Jay Skrukrud skillfully weave classic rock and country hits, taking you on a nostalgic journey through the decades.

August 27- Robby Vee and his Rock & Roll Caravan: Robby Vee and his Rock & Roll Caravan are set to enchant with their extensive repertoire, bridging the generation gap from the roots of Rock & Roll to the contemporary sounds of Americana music. Robby’s captivating vocals, accompanied by the skilled musicians Jeff Bjork, Bryan Williams, Brandon Petron and Dana Killian, promise a journey though the rich tapestry of musician history.
