*New London: Old Time Gospel and Bluegrass Community Sing-a-Long

Sunburg Community Music is hosting a free Old Time Gospel
& Bluegrass sing-a-long on Saturday, October 25, 4 pm at East Norway Lake
Lutheran Church in rural New London.  This
is a community event.  All are invited to
come together in song. 

Performers include the Sunburg Community Fiddlers and
Ukulele Group with special guests, Dempsey Schroeder (fiddle) and Maggie Harp
(guitar.)  Songs sheets including “I’ll
Fly Away,” “Will the Circle,” “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Every time I Feel
the Spirit,” “Are You Washed in the Blood,” and the “Old Rugged Cross” will be
provided.

Participation in Sunburg
Community Music is free and open to everyone. 
No previous music experience is needed. This is made possible by
donations from community members and groups as well as grants. Instruments are
loaned at no cost and all lessons, books, workshops and gatherings are
free.  Currently, participants play
fiddle (violin), viola, upright bass, guitar, mandolin, keyboard and Irish
penny whistle.
