Greetings all and welcome to the 2024 Spoon Gathering. Preparations for this year’s Gathering are well underway. At this point, roughly half the tickets have been sold and to date the organizers will be welcoming carvers from California, Michigan, Wisconsin, South Dakota, NorthDakota, Idaho, Alabama, New York, North Carolina, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri,Wyoming, Ohio, Indiana, Washington, Kansas and of course Minnesota.

Over the coming days and weeks there will be a number of updates with new information. The Spoon Gathering is a spoon carving festival, but over the years it has evolved to include spoon carving, green woodworking, the decorative arts and skills. Sometimes we throw in something different such as Norwegian knife making or blade forging as we strive to keep the event fresh. Every year’s festival is a work in progress and no two years are the same. The format will be similar to past years with demonstrations, presentations and interactive workshops. The bulk of the events occur on the Friday and Saturday.

There will be changes this year, so please look for updates. All updates and documents will be sent out by email and posted on the 2024 Spoon Gathering Facebook page. Feel free to contact the Milan Village Arts School school with questions.

See you all in May
