Welcoming Week Community Portrait in Granite Falls This Welcoming Week, Granite Falls gets its chance to show and grow the sense of belonging we’ve cultivated here. Participation is quick and easy! On Saturday, Sept. 18, anytime from noon to 4 p.m., have your profile outlined, answer a question about this year’s Welcoming Week theme “Belonging begins with US” and leave with free sweets and more. By contributing five minutes of your time, volunteers will help create a large scale art series that will be retained by the Southwest Initiative Foundation upon completion, then exhibited and displayed in multiple locations.
