Join local artist, Heather Smith, at the Bird Island Cultural Centre for a quick start class on the basics of watercolor painting. In this class you will be learning the basics of art theory, brush strokes, basic watercolor techniques, and the most common styles of watercolor; as well as planning and practicing for your own individual composition which will be started in class. A kit for new students is included in the cost of registration which will provide all the supplies you will need for this class and enable you to spread your wings on your own watercolor journey upon completion of the class. You will receive your kit on the first day of class. This three-week course is held in the Conference Room at Grama’s House next to the Cultural Centre.

The current class offering is Tuesdays, January 9, 16, & 23, 2024, from 9:00am – Noon -OR- 6:00 – 9:00pm.

Class size limited to 10 participants per time slot.

Cost: $120 for former students and $175 for new students. New student cost includes your Painting Kit needed to get you started.

Registration deadline is December 22, 2023.
