Event Details

Norwegian hymns and folk tunes have always been the most important for Tidløs, and the importance of keeping these treasures alive so that future generations can also enjoy them. With a mixture of modern and traditional instruments, and the members’ different musical backgrounds, the result is a very special sound. A timeless sound, where present and past meet. The name Tidløs is based precisely on this, that the hymns have lived a long life and will live on, both in the melodies and not least in the lyrics. When the band are on tour in the USA, they translate some verses into English, precisely so that the audience will understand these beautiful lyrics.

This event is a collaboration between LTA and Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association (the Old Log Church)

DIVAS 3Three female singers with powerhouse voices sing the biggest hits, of the greatest divas, in music history. This vibrant show spans four decades covering the 1960’s through the 1990’s. Individual members of the group have all starred in shows in Las Vegas. Divas 3 successfully finds the balance of honoring the iconic hits without impersonation.
“Divas3 high-energy performance had our audience singing and dancing along the entire night!” – Chris Dudeck, Clermont Performing Arts Center, Clermont FL SAMPLE PROGRAM

Awards
2023 Prairie Disciple Award ($1,000): Lee Kanten, Ortonville
This award is to recognize a person who has been instrumental in promoting the arts in the 18-county area of southwestern Minnesota. Lee is an international and award-winning director and producer who made his career in the Twin Cities creating motivational and communications films for Fortune 500 companies, but it is in Ortonville and the surrounding region where musician and filmmaker Lee Kanten has made the most impact. Donating film production to organizations and artists began in 2015 when he produced “I Love Ortonville” for the hospital and chamber to showcase the features of their rural town. The hospital could not accept the work as pro bono, so Lee’s company donated their profits back to their foundation. Since then, Lee has given his production services willingly to create videos for area arts councils and other nonprofits, like the local food co-op. He uses his voice on KDIO radio co-hosting a weekly morning show where he grasps every opportunity to promote arts in our region. He frequently submits stories to the local newspaper for the Big Stone Art Council’s column, “Opening Doors.” Read more about Lee Kanten here
