The Cultures on the Prairie event will be on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 8:30-4:30. The event is back in-person this year. There is a $25 fee to attend.
During this event, you will experience the stories, history, and cultures throughout southwest Minnesota by listening and interacting with three select panels which will discuss the views from employers/workforce personnel, students, and adults. These panels will highlight challenges, successes, and opportunities as they relate to their specific culture. This will provide you and your staff the insight when hiring and serving all people of southwest Minnesota.
There will be time for table talk to discuss and reflect on topics surrounding diversity and race. Presentations will be provided by SMSU student culture groups and keynote speaker, Assistant Professor of Management and Director of the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southwest Minnesota State University, Dr. George Taylor.
We hope you will join us in learning more about the different cultures throughout southwest Minnesota. If you have any questions pertaining to this event, please contact Amanda Beckler at firstname.lastname@example.org or See Moua-Leske at email@example.com.
