The deadline for submission is Monday, May 2, 2022. For more information, please visit the Congressional Art Competition website. Good luck!

High school students from Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District are invited to participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition. This longstanding U.S. Capitol tradition is an excellent opportunity for high school students from across the district to showcase their creativity and hard work. Since 1982, more than 650,000 high school students from around the country have participated.

The competition is open to all public, private, charter, and home school students in grades nine through 12. Winning submissions from each congressional district will be displayed for one year in the tunnel from the U.S. Capitol to the Cannon House Office Building, where they will be viewed by thousands of visitors, tourists, and Members of Congress. The winners will also be highlighted on Congresswoman Fischbach’s social media channels.

Students are invited to submit two-dimensional artwork that measures no larger than 26 inches high, 26 inches wide, and four inches deep when framed, and weighs no more than 15 pounds. Submissions should be e-mailed to ArtCompetitionMN07@mail.house.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. CT on Monday, May 2, 2022. Please see Guidelines for Artwork and Submission for more information.

Note: The winner will need to provide a physical copy by mail or hand delivery to either the Willmar or Moorhead District Office by Friday, Mary 13, 2022 to be featured and displayed with the other winners from across the country.
