In honor of National Arts in Education Week—September 10–16—the Kennedy Center is kicking off a month-long celebration of gratitude for arts teachers nationwide.
Together with AMC Theatres, they’re reaching out to all corners of the country, inviting you to take part and reflect on the arts teachers who left a mark on your life—whether it was in school, during extracurricular activities, or within your community. Learn more about the campaign from Academy Award-winning actor, singer, and dancer Ariana DeBose, as she shares the story of her beloved drama teacher and mentor, Elizabeth “Liz” Droessler, who encouraged her to pursue her career.

Don’t miss the chance to share your own story about how an arts teacher has impacted your life! If you have the details, you can even provide the teacher’s contact information on our website and they’ll make sure your message reaches them directly.
Let’s make this back-to-school season a time to remember as we honor these incredible arts educators!
