About Space 369
This is a contemporary exhibition space and 2017 Knight Arts Challenge project, and is located in the heart of Midway, St Paul Minnesota, dubbed the Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ). The space’s 2017 schedule of artistic programming invites artists from across the country to participate in an exhibition encouraging artistic experimentation.
Public Hours: Saturdays 1-4pm and by appointment. Also open June 10th during Northern Spark.

Juror: Candice Hopkins
Candice Hopkins is from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada and is a member of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation. An independent curator and writer, she is now based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Ottawa, Ontario. She has held curatorial positions at the National Gallery of Canada, the Western Front, and the Walter Phillips Gallery at The Banff Centre. She received her MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College. Hopkins’ writings on history, art, and vernacular architecture have been published by MIT Press, BlackDog Publishing, Fillip, the National Museum of the American Indian, among others, and she has lectured widely including at the Witte de With, Tate Modern, Artists Space, and the Dakar Biennale.
Recent curatorial projects include Before The Internet: Networks and Art at Western Front, Close Encounters: The Next 500 Years, a multi-site exhibition in Winnipeg, and Sakahàn: International Indigenous Art at the National Gallery of Canada. In 2014, Hopkins was the co-curator of Unsettled Landscapes, in SITE Santa Fe’s biennial exhibitions focused on new art from the Americas. She presented a keynote at Documenta 13 on the topic of the “sovereign imagination”. This June 2017, Hopkins will join the curatorial team for the upcoming Documenta 14, which opens in Kassel, Germany.
Candice Hopkins is not affiliated with Space 369 and will review all applications and make selections.
Participation Terms and Conditions
By applying all applicants indicate agreement to the following terms and conditions, for exhibition at Space 369. A completed online submission and payment must accompany the proposal or the entry will be disqualified. A non-refundable fee of $10.00 must accompany each entry. A credit card payment must be made online using our secure portal.

Guidelines
Works submitted must be available for exhibition. If works are for sale, a commission of 30% will be taken on all works sold as a result of this exhibition. Payment will be mailed to the artist within 60 days of the exhibition closing. While we take reasonable steps to care for, and prevent damage, art works are not insured while at Space 369. Space 369 is not liable for loss or damages. Artists are required to sign a Loan Agreement if accepted. Space 369 reserves the right to reproduce the images for all media and publicity purposes. This is exhibition is open to United States and Canada residents only. Exhibition postcards will be available.
Delivery
Artists are responsible for dropping off their work or shipping their work to the space in sturdy, reusable boxes. Return shipping must be prepaid and enclosed with artwork. Space 369 will be responsible for any damage incurred in transit. Accepted artwork may also be hand-delivered on the indicated date. Art will be available for pick up on the indicated date.
Limitations
Work should be have no dimension (width, height, or depth) greater than 12 feet. Final measurements must be inclusive of frame, if applicable. Weight may not exceed 150 pounds. All entries must have been conceived and created by the artist submitting the work. All work selected must be ready for exhibit: 2D work must be presentation ready with secure hanging devices, either wire or D-rings; 3D work must be suitably prepared with instructions for installation. Space 369 reserves the right of refusal for any work for any reason.
