December 9, 3 pm, Worthington Chamber Singers: “Women of the Promise”, First United Methodist Church, 408 11th St, Worthington. 25TH Anniversary concert will feature the premier of a choral commission from a MN female composer and MN female poet. The overall programs features music and poems by female artists.

December 12, 4:30 pm, SMAC application deadline for Art Project and Art Legacy Project grants.

December 13, 7:30 am, Celebrate with SMAC: 10 Years of Arts Legacy Funding, Southwest Minnesota Arts Council, 114 N 3rd St, Marshall. On behalf of the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council you are invited to to attend this event celebrating the 10th year since passing the Legacy Amendment and the Arts and Culture Fund! This will be a free, informational session that is informal and open-to-the-public. SMAC will talk about what we are and what we do for the arts and artists of our region. It will also be a celebration of our funding through the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund (Legacy Fund) and the grants given in our regions with those funds over the past 10 years. We will share impactful stories about Legacy grant funding in our regions and hope to gather insight from the public into more ways SMAC can support our local communities. December 29, 8 pm, Songblast: Dueling Guitars, Palace Theatre, 104 Main St, Luverne. Songblast – Dueling Guitars will bring a celebratory musical experience. This duo of Pat Balder and Glen Everhart have spent their lives writing, performing and loving all genres of popular American music and bring a fast-paced, audience-interactive experience with sing-along songs and comedy.
