June 9, 9 am-3 pm, Riverside Market & Muse, Foot bridge & Down Town Plaza, 807 Prentice St, Granite Falls. On the second Saturday of every month from May to September, vendors are invited to set up for free along the downtown plazas in Granite Falls and each event features an art project and performance. This time, Brian Laidlaw, poet and musician, will do a river songs workshop and performance. 9 AM to 12 noon- Brian Laidlaw presents “Love and Theft” – A workshop where participants begin their songs/poems/stories by “stealing” an idea from an existing piece (maybe a line of a song they like, for example) and then use that “stolen” idea as a starting point for an original piece of their own. 9-3 Vendors can set up for free along the plazas spaces.
