Welcoming All
This October, the Minnesota Festivals and Events Association, Minnesota Access Alliance, and the Minnesota State Arts Board, will offer Welcoming All, an accessibility training for festival and event board, staff, and key volunteers. Participants will work with presenter Diane Nutting to explore how elements of accessibility and inclusion can be applied in festival planning, design, and implementation. This workshop will provide an overview of disability awareness and highlight examples of successful accessibility and inclusion frameworks.
Diane Nutting works as a consultant at the intersections of disability, arts, and education. She provides training, project coordination, and strategic planning services for a wide range of cultural arts institutions as well as state and local arts agencies, including recent collaborations with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival on the grounds of the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The training is free, but registration is required. The same workshop will be offered three times, in different locations. To learn more and register for a session, please click on one of the location links below.
