50 Books 50 Covers Call for Entries

AIGA is now accepting entries for 50 Books | 50 Covers of 2020. This time-honored competition aims to identify the 50 best-designed books and book covers—print or electronic—published between January 1 and December 31, 2020. Get the information you need to enter early, including rules and eligibility, image and video specs, and more.

To uplift powerful and compelling book design, we’re calling all designers, publishers, and authors to enter their most inspired creations from this unforgettable year. For the first time ever, the panel of jurors will be reviewing both books and covers online. Selections will be published in an online gallery on AIGA‘s websites. Physical copies of the jurors’ selections will be collected from entrants this spring for inclusion at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia University’s Butler Library for future generations to enjoy.

Entries will be accepted through February 18 (11:59 p.m. EST); there is a $25 late-fee for each book entered after the February 8 deadline (11:59 p.m. EST). All deadlines are final.
