A message from Americans for the Arts:
Dear Arts & Culture Colleagues,
We’d like to invite you to a virtual check-in about how Americans for the Arts is working to provide support, research, and advocacy to the nonprofit arts sector—with a special focus on the COVID-19 federal bill.
On Tuesday, March 31, at 3 p.m. (EST), join Americans for the Arts staff for an overview of our advocacy and research relating to the new federal COVID-19 Relief Package. Speakers will discuss Americans for the Arts’ COVID-19 response resources; the new legislation; what parts relate to arts organizations, artists, and the creative economy; and what you should expect in the next few weeks.

A message from Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN):
In the past week, we have witnessed rapidly evolving responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, including Minnesota’s Stay-at-Home order, movement on another federal stimulus bill (still in progress), new policy and funding responses from the Walz administration and Minnesota Legislature, new unemployment considerations for both employers and individuals, and new funding opportunities and resources.
The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) wants to ensure nonprofits have the information they need to navigate these challenging times. This update highlights some of the most recent changes, resources, and action items (click links below to jump to specific issue):

“Off the Clock” is a group for rural arts and cultural workers to digitally connect and collaborate with each other, share stories, and inspire action. They host a monthly digital Happy Hour on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm CST. Everyone is welcome to join and event details will be shared here. Please feel free to utilize this group to connect, ask questions and share information with your cross-country rural colleagues. And, thanks for all you do!
Department of Transformation is doing a digital happy hour discussion tomorrow for rural arts and cultural workers to get together, offer support and share ideas and resources for how our communities are mitigating the effects of COVID-19 and creative ways we are caring for our rural communities during this time.
When: Tuesday, March 24th, 5-6:30 pm.

Bluenose Gopher is trying to keep their Open Mic alive, but virtual!!!
?If you have music, poetry, comedy, stories or anything you’d like to contribute to the virtual open mic e-mail it to Betsy at:

They will post a single video with all of the submissions on the Bluenose Page to support and showcase our local talent.
Deadline for video submissions will be Thursday evenings by 7 pm so that we can take Friday to create the video to share!!!!
